REALLY like this Nick.. Clear that you've got impressive design and layout abilities and that you've clearly researched the genre and Bockleton's competitors online. Dynamic, colourful, photos really add 'life' to it. Logical header, nav and content areas, clear hierachy of headings etc too. Really good - well crafted - look fwd to seeing this progress!
The 'lifestyle'-type imagery really helps convey the excitement about the place - I suggest more if at all poss. With Bockleton Hall I wonder if some tweeking in pshop is needed to colour/brighten slightly more + maybe drop-in a more summery blue sky [I know this is fake in this instance but it can be done - we used to do it at Coventry University where needed].
I think the Bg has selected very well, what made this web site so good, is that the colors is very lively, I think it can attract both children and parents. Footer should be include though.
I really like the grass effect, and the green works well with the white background where the main body text is. I also think that the montage of pictures at the top looks very professional and fits in well.
Difficult to simplify such a large amount of content that comes with the bockleton brief but you have done a nice job of keeping it clear, concise and arranged logically. And partnered with your site map we saw a couple of weeks ago the navigation should work effectively as well.
