Simple and clear layout Jack.. There's something of the 'Guardian Hay Festival' re the typeface usage but this isn't a bad thing.. You might need to tighten up the way you've used the UW corp ID though - they always want it with "University of Worcester" at the side.. I suggest tucking this away at the foot of the page maybe in the revised format. Also - consider possibly doing something to make the separation of buttons a little clearer too - as is they may cause user confusion re navigating..
Minimalist design with simple navigation, it's really effective! I could use different background colours to seperate the sections. For instance, Welcome page has light green, Arts in Worcester has light blue background etc. Well done Jack!
I like the clean pastel effect on this site, quite childlike but still inviting for adults. Possible a little more contrast in places to make certain areas 'pop' but really nice.
I think the drwings at the top fit in very well with the rest of the design. They also stand out against the white background. I like the way you have tied the green elements together such as the drawings and the main title as this fits in very well with the theme.
Very nice use of the 'less is more' approach, Jack. The illustrations add an effective emphasis to the page without overwhelming the design. I agree with Andy Stevo regarding the UOW logo placement - as it stands, it throws the page out of balance so an alternative position at the base of the page (or even left aligned with the body text) could even things up.
I really love this concept. Simplistic in approach and great colours. Maybe, if the heading is going to be situated to one side look at designing something underneath it?.... sketch or something in the background?
